Round ‘Em Up, Head ‘Em Out to Lewisville Western Days

Boot Scoot Over to Lewisville Western Days Festival & Medical City Lewisville’s ER Open House

Lewisville Western Days Are your kids suffering from summer withdrawal pains like mine? Being corralled at school again five days a week already has mine bucking for some wild, weekend adventure. But after back-to-school shopping, our budget needs a break. Here’s my remedy. I’m planning to roundup the kids and head to Lewisville, Texas to enjoy a double-freebie of family fun time.

The Western Days Festival in Old Town Lewisville (Main Street/FM 1171, east of I-35) will be in full swing on Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The two-day event is packed with free entertainment including a cattle drive parade, live music on three stages, performances by Ghost Horse Native American Dancers and the Legends of Texas gunfighters, the 11th annual World Tamale Eating Championship, arts and crafts exhibits, and a Western Village complete with a mechanical bull attraction, a working Old West jail for photo ops, and a working blacksmith.
